OUR CENTER

OUR CENTER

The St. Brigid Community Outreach Center is uniquely laid out in four different areas: the front office, the store, the pantry, and the donation area. Each designated for a specific purpose and function in order to serve the community with efficiency.

FRONT OFFICE

Our front office is where we get to meet our clients, learn about their situation, and assist them. Clients may receive services at the center once every 30 days. To receive services, clients must provide a valid ID, proof of residence, income, and dependents.

THE STORE

The store is the area where our clients are able to shop for clothing and other items at no charge.  Each client is given an amount of clothing they are able to pick out for themselves and each member in the household. Volunteers assist the clients and hang up newly donated clothes according to size and stock the shelves with donated items. They also distribute the food for the clients.

THE PANTRY

Our pantry area is where we store all the food received that is donated by our local community, partnered organizations, and food items purchased through the food bank. Our volunteers organize, rotate, and stock the shelves daily keeping it clean neat and orderly. They also prepare the food bags with perishable and non-perishable food items to be given out to those in need.

DONATION AREA

Here, our volunteers receive donations from generous donors throughout the week. The goods received, whether it be clothes or items, are sorted and prepared. It is then transferred to the store front for the clients. The volunteers here also prepare and assist with yard sales, boutiques, and other events to help raise funds for the Center.
